It's been a labor of love, seemingly all summer long. This pattern just takes so much time and so many pieces! I pieced the front pocket out of some Modern Bliss quilt leftovers. Love. Used more leftovers on the inside and the strap. It's kinda fun to have all the different colors going on. Also super love the owl fabric I found in the remnant bin, perfect for little surprise inside the exterior pocket. Even though I love the charcoal with the colors, I didn't love sewing with the linen, and didn't love how the interfacing didn't stick to it very well. Guessing it's going to be a very wrinkly bag once I start using it. Excited to use this bag this fall, regardless! I padded the front pocket, so hoping it keeps my kindles safe. :D
I'm a SAHM with two beautiful little girls, an awesome husband, two cats, and a house we're slowing making into our dream home.
I love to play with photos and save our memories, and I am fascinated with cutting pieces of fabric and creating something useful and beautiful. Handmade makes me happy.
